Examples of recent sessions include:
- Development of a science specialist course that will then be conducted for district teachers. TLC and its consultants designed the course, which consisted of eight, 3-hour sessions and then trained district leaders to teach the course.
- Assisted with a district-wide focus on high-needs mathematics topics in all Grades K-8. Half-day sessions were designed and conducted over four release days for all of this small district’s K-8 teachers. Sessions featured samples of rich problems related to the topics of measurement and strategies for maximizing student learning through these problems.
- Conducted three days of training for a district’s elementary mathematics coaches.
- Designed and lead a three-day summer seminar for middle and school science teachers, centering on Scientific Inquiry and parallel session focusing on innovative strategies for Teaching Algebra.
