runDisney 2019-2020 Wrap Up

What a year for runDisney events!  You know us, we like numbers.  So now that the 2019-2020 season is about to wrap up we thought we would highlight a few of our favorite fun facts from the past year!

We participated in three runDisney events this year with one goal in mind...meet others who love math, science, and computer science as much as we do! 

We loved hearing the shout outs during the race and at our finish line tent:

• I'm a teacher!
• I love math!
• Whoooooo! Pi! (We assumed they loved math too, not just baked goods).

Any way you slice it (yes, we like puns too), this year was a BLAST!  It may have been the blast of cold air during Princess Half Marathon 2020, but it was still fun laughing with our runners and figuring out if we could swap a few swag items or a frozen banana for a mylar blanket.

This was also the first year that THREE of our runners at the Disney Princess Half Marathon weekend placed in their age group!

🥧  First place female (5K)
🥧  3rd place overall male (10K)
🥧 2nd place (10K age group) running at 79 years young!

So, with over 314 runners this year (and we think we're about to hit 1,000 since we started runDisney events), we can't wait for the next season to begin!  If you're ready to become a #TLCMathlete, here's the link! ​
