Four New Mathematics Programs
Join us for one or all of our four new, exciting programs for teachers of mathematics in Grades preK - 5:
- IMPACT Intervention: Engage in an in-depth study of appropriate K-3 mathematics content on topic such as Numeracy and Mathematical Processes (IMPACT 1) or Geometry & Measurement (IMPACT 2), and learn about research-based teaching strategies and intervention strategies. Sharing with collegues and peers both in-person and online, develop a deeper understanding of assessment and how to use it to guide instruction.
- Early Number Concepts in the prek-2 Classroom:Using the Developmental Math Assessment (DMA), a classroom-based mathematics assessment, learn how to make important instructional decisions in mathematics. The DMA helps the teacher assess student progress in current standards in Pre-number Concepts, Number Concepts, Operations, and other Math Concepts, and determine if each child’s level of understanding is above, on, or below grade-level expectations. Based on the information, the teacher individualized, appropriate instruction, and monitors annual yearly progress in essential math concepts for each student are planned.
- Number Talk Series for Grades K-2 and Grades 3-5: Learn to lead classroom discussions that support students’ mathematics learning and promote their ability to think, reason, and solve problems by implementing math conversations in the classrooms.
- Math Camp-In for Grades 1-3: Choose to use Math Camp In as an overnight experience, a mini-unit in the regular classroom, or a Family Math Night. Join us for an exciting adventure that you can take back and use with students. Attendees will leave with most of what you need to replicate Math Camp-In for your classroom!
